Baby Shark Becomes First YouTube Video with 10 Billion Views

With over 10 billion views, Pinkfong’s Baby Shark has become the most viewed video on YouTube. It’s the first time a video on the platform has ever done so. Baby Shark Dance, which was published to YouTube on June 18, 2016, currently has a total of 10,008,732,879 views. Despacito by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, performed by Puerto Rican music singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, is the platform’s second-most-watched video.

Two children can be seen dancing to the song Baby Shark in the video titled “Baby Shark Dance.” In the backdrop, there are also animated sharks.

The song by Baby Shark even charted at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Pinkfong marked the occasion by inviting children from all over the world to share their “Baby Shark Dance” moments.

According to Variety, Pinkfong CEO Min-seok Kim said in a statement, “We are happy to announce that our beloved Baby Shark has achieved yet another great milestone.”

Baby Shark became the most viewed video on YouTube history at the moment, with 7.04 billion views in November 2020. Hope Segoine, a 10-year-old Korean-American singer, sang the song in 2015. The song was converted into a Nickelodeon pre-school series Baby Shark’s Big Show in 2021 after its debut in 2016. Baby Shark is also being adapted into a movie film.
