Users have noticed unusual behaviour on Instagram stories since Apple launched iOS 15 for its iPhone models. Instagram stories play silently when the device’s ringer is turned off. The ringer switch on the side of an iPhone normally mutes only the ringtones, not any other audio. You may also use the switch to turn off the sound of any video that is now playing, but this does not muffle the sounds of other apps.
During the public beta testing of the new iPhone operating system, a few people reported the problem. It’s unclear whether the problem affects prior iOS versions as well. Facebook acknowledged the problem, saying, “We’re aware that some people are having difficulty hearing their voice in Instagram Stories.” We’re working to resolve this issue as soon as possible, and we apologise for any trouble this has caused.” The tech giant hasn’t said whether or whether the problem is limited to iOS 15.
This audio bug isn’t the only issue that iPhone customers who have updated their handsets have experienced; they’ve also encountered storage warning bugs. Despite having ample storage space, iOS 15 users on Twitter asked Apple for aid since they were receiving a ‘iPhone Storage Almost Full’ warning message inside Settings.
A few users have also complained that the available space on their iPhone is sometimes displayed as being more than the device’s capacity. The latest iOS version is being marketed by Apple as an essential security update for iPhones with Face ID. Focus Mode, Visual Look Up, Live Text, and many other new features are included in the upgrade. While the company has already begun beta testing for iOS 15.1, the iOS 15.0.1 upgrade is expected to be released soon.
