Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and S22+ are two devices with a powerful hardware system that aim to take advantage of the latest smartphone capabilities and arrive with a new style.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a built-in S Pen, which is a key advantage for previous Note series fans. The S Pen now has three times less latency than the S Pen from the Note 20 Ultra, clocking in at only 2.8ms versus 9ms previously. With its AI capability, the S Pen can dependably recognize handwriting. Additionally, the S Pen can snap images up to 10 meters away from the tablet using Bluetooth connectivity. New motions and functions for controls such as camera exchange, music or video playback, presentations, and so on are included with the S Pen.

Both of these devices have fantastic displays. The S22 Ultra has a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display, and the S22+ has a 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display. Both smartphones have a 120Hz refresh rate, which allows for seamless scrolling and swiping on both. The S22 Ultra has a refresh rate range of 1Hz to 120Hz, whereas the S22+ has a range of 24Hz to 120Hz. Aside from adaptive display refresh, the display can also illuminate up to 1750 nits for maximum outdoor visibility.

Both the S22 Ultra and S22+ are equipped with the Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm CPU, which is the world’s fastest chipset. These high-performance chipsets are also expected to perform well in terms of heat control. Both devices have an Adreno 730 Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) that supports intensive gaming. The Exynos version will be offered in a few select global regions.

The S22 Ultra has a quad-camera system with a 108 MP (f/1.8) OIS Wide Main Lens, a 10MP (f/4.9) OIS Periscope Telephoto lens with 10x Optical Zoom, a 10 MP (f/2.4) OIS Telephoto Lens with 3x Optical Zoom, and a 12 MP (f/2.2) Ultra-Wide lens with ultra stable video shooting. Selfies taken with the front camera’s 40MP (f/2.2) were crisp and clear. It also features a Nightography mode, which enables for stunning photographs in low-light situations. Nightography’s noise reduction feature is a distinct draw for the young demographic. There’s also video support for nightography, which takes advantage of the big pixels to catch more light and generate results with less noise and more detail.

The S22+, on the other hand, features a 50 MP (f/1.8) Wide Main Camera with OIS, a 10 MP (f/2.4) Telephoto lens with 3x Optical Zoom and OIS, and a 12 MP (f/2.2) 120 Ultra-Wide lens with Super Steady video. Selfies are also crisp thanks to a 10MP (f/2.2) front camera. The Nightography feature is also available on the S22+.

The S22 Ultra and S22+ have 8GB/128GB RAM and 12GB RAM/256GB ROM storage, respectively, as well as 4500mAh and 5000mAh batteries in the S22+ and S22 Ultra, respectively. LPDDR5 was used for the RAM and internal storage, which is more efficient and uses less power. Both devices support 45W fast charging, with the S22 Ultra supporting two charging modes: 25W and 45W. For further durability, both devices are water resistant to IP68 standards.
