Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse: What We Know So Far

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse looks like it will be one of 2023’s best movies. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the best Spider-Man movie so far. It wasn’t Far From Home or The Amazing Spider-Man. It was finally confirmed that the second part of Miles Morales’ story is already being made.

In Into the Spider-Verse, Peter Parker is missing or thought to be dead, but the city finds a new hero in a teenager with African-American and Latino roots named Miles Morales. He learns that he has the same powers as his favorite hero and must use them to stop a new villain who wants to destroy the world.

Miles Morales and Spider-Man fans saw the first version of the multiverse on film in that first movie. It brought together many versions of the legendary superhero in one place to form an unstoppable team, but that’s not the end of the story.

Now, people are talking about the possibility of a live-action Spider-Man universe that brings together the current Spider-Man (Tom Holland), the actors who have played Peter Parker in the past (Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield), and the Sinister Six. There is also talk of a sequel that will add to the Spider-Man universe.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 has been in the works since last year, and it will come out in 2022. Even though the premiere is still a long way off, they have already put out two pictures with Spider-Man 2099, who is thought to be in the sequel.

The movie’s producer, Phil Lord, said months ago that the 1978 version of Spider-Man from Japan would be in the new one. This Japanese Spider-Man was like the Power Rangers because he used martial arts to beat all the bad guys who wanted to cause trouble in his city. His origin story was different from that of the American Spider-Man.

We know that Marvel Movies wants to make a huge universe around Spider-Man, with movies like Morbius, 6 Spider-Man movies, and the return of characters like Electro and Doctor Octopus. However, the animated movie may (at least for now) reach many places that live action still can’t, so it could be the key to showing many more classic characters who haven’t had a chance to make the leap to the screen.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer

The first trailer for the movie shows that Miles will meet many more versions of Spider-Man from different universes. Some of these Spider-Men seem to have forgotten their purpose and are acting like bad guys, so Miles will have to fight them.

Miles needs to figure out what his role is in this fight and have faith in all of his allies if he wants to win and figure out how to fix what’s going on in the multiverse.

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales is back for the next part of the Spider-Verse story, which won an Oscar. After Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy get back together, he is thrown across the Multiverse and meets up with a team of Spider-People whose job it is to protect existence from him. But when the heroes disagree about how to deal with a new threat, Miles has to go up against the other spiders and rethink what it means to be a hero in order to save the people he loves most.

When will Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 come out in theaters?

The second movie was supposed to come out in theaters in April 2022, but the date was moved to June 2, 2023, with producer Chris Miller saying: “For the next Spider-Verse movie, artists are already coming up with crazy new ways to make art, which is driving me crazy. It will make the first movie seem old-fashioned.”

What is the story of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2?

At the end of the first movie, each version of Spider-Man went back to his own reality. However, they showed us that there’s a chance they could talk to each other across dimensions or even meet again in the same place. At one point, Spider-voice Gwen’s comes from what looks like a portal.

Producer Amy Pascal said that the second movie will pick up right where the first one left off, so we could see Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy in action again. The story is supposed to be about the two of them, but it also leaves the door open to seeing other versions of Spider-Man, like the one from Japan, which was confirmed by the producers.

For now, producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller have said they want to see Silk, a classmate of Peter’s who was also bitten by the radioactive spider, and Spider-Punk, but there are many other versions that could also show up. In an early teaser, fans saw a reference to Takuya Yamashiro, a Japanese Spider-Man from the 1970s who got his powers from a blood transfusion with alien blood.
