WhatsApp View Feature: How to Use it to Send Photos, Videos

Spread the love

WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned instant messaging service, will introduce a variety of new features in 2021, including the View Once capability. This WhatsApp feature lets users send photos and videos to friends and family that are instantly destroyed after the recipient has viewed them once. The photos and videos shared with the ‘View Once’ function aren’t saved in the recipient’s Photos or Gallery on their phone. The WhatsApp View Once the function is available on both Android and iOS.

It’s worth mentioning that once you’ve used this feature to send a photo or video, you won’t be able to see it in the chat again. Additionally, WhatsApp View Once photos and videos cannot be emailed, saved, starred, or shared. Additionally, if such images and videos are not seen within 14 days after delivery, they are removed from the dialogue. Given the importance of the View Once function for everyone, we’ve put together a step-by-step explanation of how to utilize it.

How to use WhatsApp’s View Once feature to keep your conversations safe:

Step 1: On your phone or computer, launch the most recent version of WhatsApp.

Step 2: Click the icon to attach a photo or video to share after selecting the chat you want to join.

Step 3: Next to the caption bar, tap the ‘View Once’ option after you’ve selected your material. When you’re done, an alert will appear in the middle of your material, confirming that the function has been activated.

Step 4: Now it’s time to send your contact that photo or video.

This feature was implemented to WhatsApp in order to increase user privacy. When users are concerned about their safety or privacy, the instant messaging software suggests using the View Once tool to submit photos or videos. However, there is a fault in the feature: even though the images and videos can’t be saved, receivers can still snap a screenshot or record them. No notification is sent to the sender if a screenshot or screen recording is taken. The recipient can use another camera or other device to capture a photo or record a video of the media before it vanishes at their end.
