The most recent hero to join the Overwatch 2 roster is Kiriko. The figure, whose identity had been widely leaked earlier this week, has now been identified as a support/healing ninja with connections to the heroes Genji and Hanzo. She is shown in a gameplay trailer released by Blizzard Entertainment. Kitsune is a spirit fox that she may summon using her ultimate power. On October 4, Overwatch 2 will be released for the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
Similar to Baptiste at launch, Kiriko is a support character who blurs the lines between DPS and healer. She has perfected the ability to scale walls and traverse in a swift, nimble manner, having trained alongside the Shimada brothers. Her main healing maneuver is the Healing Ofuda, which she uses to scatter a number of holy talismans to revive allies. Players do not need to have the best aim and tracking abilities to use Kiriko, like the majority of the support characters in Overwatch 2, as her talismans can quickly focus on her targets. This makes healing unstable, quick characters like Mercy, Wrecking Ball, and Genji appear simple.
A kunai blade is Kiriko’s secondary ability, and it can be utilized to do damage to approaching enemies. Despite having a hitscan weapon, it is important to remember that she is a healer, hence her damage output is lower than that of other damage-type heroes. However, flex players might improve their chances by repeatedly clicking the heads of their opponents.
When things get tight, Kiriko can hurl down a sacred bell, giving her and any nearby allies momentary invulnerability. Similar to Baptiste’s Immortality Field, but with an instantaneous impact that demands precise timing. She can also use a teleportation ability to flee the area if necessary and seek protection from an ally.
The Kitsune Rush, in which Kiriko summons a phantom fox with a ninja scroll in her mouth to illuminate a route of eerie torii gates, is her most potent move, though. A significant speed boost will be given to all teammates who pass through these gates, including quicker mobility, weapon reloading, and cooldowns. As of right now, it is unknown how long this power will stay.
Blizzard is doing away with the loot box system in Overwatch 2 and replacing it with a battle pass. At launch, Kiriko will join the roster with the damage-type Sojourn and the brand-new tank hero Junker Queen. For use in online PVP battles, Kiriko will be made available for free to users of the original 2016 Overwatch.
Overwatch 2 release date
Overwatch 2 release date is October 4 on Windows PC, PS5/PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S. There is a catch here, though, because it will also be free to play. Only the PvP component of the game will be available at launch, and it will be early access. PvE is expected to debut sometime in 2023.
Will Overwatch 2 feature battle passes or treasure boxes?
Overwatch 2 will once again be a premium game in many ways, including cost. However, it will switch to a free-to-play live service model, which includes seasonal battle passes. A tier-based selection of cosmetic items will be accessible through these, which will be available for purchase once each season goes live.
The battle pass is also accessible for free, although some of the awards won’t be available. As you play, you’ll still be able to collect awards.

The new character changes in Overwatch 2
A number of heroes in the upcoming Overwatch 2 video game from Activision Blizzard have gotten films showcasing their updated skills.
